Established in Tbilisi in 1949, Materiel has been pushing the Georgian fashion scene ever since, by creating a venue for artistic self-expression. Under the direction of Tiko Paksashvili, Materiel is synonymous with tailoring and femininity. The silhouettes are fluid, created with lots of silk and draping. The entire garment making process; from sample making to production; takes place in the Tbilisi factory, Georgia. Materiel uses up to 80% of recycled fabrics and prioritizes organic and natural dyed materials.
