Launched in 2018, Israeli-Palestinian brand ADISH is a social project that uses fashion as a platform for social commentary, awareness, and appreciation of local culture. Combining traditional Palestinian craft techniques with contemporary streetwear, the brand produces topical, socially conscious clothes. ADISH works closely with Palestinian textile artists, with most of its hand-stitched tatreez (Arabic for embroidery) produced by craftswomen in Ramallah, Hebron, and the Dheisheh refugee camp. As a nod to the ecological beauty at the heart of the region, collections highlight the flora and fauna of Israel and Palestine. Underlining pressing sociopolitical issues through clothing, ADISH is at the vanguard of fashion in its commitment to intimate collaboration and honest change.
